July 2017: My Favourites

Hey Gorgeous People!

Another month comes and so does a blog post about my favourite things for the month. Seeing as this was my birthday month, you will finally see some new favourites, hallelujah! I hope you like these and comment below what your favourite beauty products, clothing items, TV shows or movies.

Makeup
Too Faced 'Peanut Butter & Honey' Eyeshadow Palette:
I will do a proper review of this palette soon but I really do love this! I got it for my birthday earlier this month and I have been playing around with different looks all month. For $52, I can understand the appeal because it has really beautiful shades.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara:
Oh my goodness!! I have tried quite a few mascaras but this one takes the cake! I loved the Maybelline Full n' Soft Mascara for so long but, even though it was labelled as waterproof, it would always leak and make me look a little raccoon-ish. This one is fantastic! It didn't run down my face even when I took it on the ultimate test drive - going out dancing.

Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder:
Another new purchase of the month! I have only worn this once but it made my foundation just stick and stay perfectly. I thought I looked flawless all night dancing.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray:
I don't even know how to express in words my love for these mists! Not only do they set your makeup, they just refresh your skin and hydrates. They are perfect for a quick boost of hydration throughout the day. Once again, they really helped to make my makeup last all night when I went out dancing the other night.

TV Shows
Miss Fischer's Murder Mysteries:
Who doesn't love an Australian Sherlock Holmes?! I love a good murder mystery plus Miss Fischer is such an amazing character.

Movies
James Bond 'Spectre' and 'Skyfall':
I never thought to really watch the Bond films because I never thought I'd enjoy them ... and then I saw Daniel Craig! I love them! I love me a bit of action and drama, and I can't wait to watch the other James Bond films.

What are your favourites new purchases or regular loves of the month?

Halloween Makeup 2015: Pt 1 Doe Eyed

Hey Gorgeous People,

With Halloween just around the corner, I thought it would be well suited to try out some Halloween makeup I have tried and tested for all you guys! So today I have tried becoming a doe with the use of some carefully placed makeup.

So as per the usual I cleaned my face, applied toner, applied moisturiser and primer. And then applied my base of Maybelling FitMe Foundation  in 115 and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NW 15. I also put some concealer from my e.l.f palette on my eyelids and some e.l.f highlighter below the arch of my eyebrows. And finished off with my Savvy Pressed Powder and a small amount of my e.l.f Bronzer on my cheekbones and forehead.

Next I began dusting, in a gradient, the dark matte brown from the Essence Quatro palette, the colours Pyramid and Treasure from the Glamazon Eye Box, and the chocolate coloour from the Maybelline New York palette. I did gradient from darkest to lightest on my forehead coming down to my eyebrows. On my cheekbones did a gradient of the darkest colour as a blended line below my cheekbone and then working out and around to the lightest colours towards my nose, up to my eyes and down to my jawline. I left around 1-2 cm of no brown around my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and about 2-3 cm above my jaw, and no brown on my chin. Try to make these areas as white as possible. I did this by using the highlighter of the Essence Quatro palette and Highbrow from the Glamazon Eye Box.

Now that you have blended these colours it is time for the white spots. I just got my e.l.f white eyeliner and began drawing spots of various sizes along the brown areas of my face. I also got my e.l.f concealer brush (which I now use for my eyebrows) and the dark matte brown from the Essence Quatro palette and drew on my eyebrows!

After the spots were complete I got my Maybelline Master Graphic Eyeliner Pen and drew a small cat eye which then came beneath my eye and created a point at the inner corner of my eye to form a doe's eye. Then a drew around my nostrils as you can see in the photo below, and along my upper lip.

I then got my MAC Russian Red lipstick (which is fast depleting) and drew a line where my lips touched and smudge it out onto my lips with my finger!

AND IT'S DONE!
This is just the first of what I hope to be a few Halloween Makeup posts and I really hope you enjoy it! I would love to see your own Halloween preparation in the comments below!

Review: Rimmel Mascara (Kate)

Hey Gorgeous People,

Just want to do a quick review about this new product that I bought a couple of days ago. This is the Rimmel Mascara from the Kate range and I was super excited at the start.

The broken heart wand was gorgeous and it plumped my lashes and made them look so beautiful and long.

I also loved the glamorous and beautiful packaging/exterior of the mascara tube. It looked really feminine but not tacky.

Then I put it on. Yes, it plumped and made my lashes gorgeous but it took forever to dry! I stood there fanning my face for about 5 minutes and it still made marks when my lashes grazed my eyelid.

Although this factor was quite disappointing, I must say that this product is gorgeous! Just the rich colour and how it doesn't clump. I must say that I have found Rimmel mascaras to be the best for my beauty regime but just the fact that this mascara didn't dry quick enough for my liking put it down in my ranking. I think I jut expected more from this product but it is still in my favourites list!

I will hopefully do more of these reviews in the future and go through my makeup collection.

Right now I am suffering from a bad bout of sinus/fluey/cold grossness but will definitely try to show you some more posts!
