Hey Gorgeous People,
It's winter for all us Aussies down here and I know I have a serious problem with water when it comes to winter. No, I don't have some strange phobia to water but I do forget to drink water regularly. I know, it's horrendous and really bad for my health. I carry around a water bottle as much as possible so I can drink when I am bored or not doing anything. When I do this, I drink from around 1-2L of water a day. But I am really forgetful so it rarely happens.
I just wanted to share with you some amazing health benefits of water!!
1. It can aid in weightloss! By drinking a glass of water before meals, it makes us feel less hungry and therefore eat less food. This is great because portion sizes have gotten bigger and bigger recently and a glass of water beforehand could make some positive changes. Also drinking water can help us to not mistake hunger for just being thirsty.
2. It helps digestion! Drinking water regularly helps to break down fats and soluble fibre which helps with digesting food normally.
3. It can help lower risk of some cancers! Scientific research has shown that people who drink water regularly have a lowered risk of bowel cancer. It may also aid in lowering the risk of colon cancer and breast cancer!
4. It can improve your mood! Water refreshes our body and also our state of mind. So by drinking water, you can brighten your day a little bit more. Minor dehydration has actually shown to negatively impact your mood.
5. It keeps us alert and energised! Drinking water helps our body stay healthy and awake which keeps our attention span, memory and motor skills working as they should.
6. It keeps skin looking good! When our body is full of fluids it forms a protective barrier so fluids can't be lost. Dehydration makes skin look dry and wrinkled ... eek!
7. Cleansing! Warm water opens pores so they can be unclogged of any dirt and extra oils so you can regain a healthy facial glow.
Water is so healthy for your body and it is a vital fluid that we have to keep replenishing! Water has so many benefits for our health and this is only 7 but there are so many more!

Sugar Lip Scrub Recipe
Hey Gorgeous People,
So I recently made up this sugar lip scrub and I just wanted to give you the recipe because not only is it great for a lip scrub, it is so good as a general exfoliator. I used it on my face and my face felt so smooth but still hydrated and fresh.
So here's the recipe:
1 TBS Coconut Oil
1 TBS Honey
White or Raw Sugar
1/2 TBS Warm Water
1. Combine Coconut Oil and Honey in a small container/pot and put in microwave till just melted.
2. Pour in enough sugar to make a thick paste and stir till completely mixed.
3. Add the 1/2 TBS Warm Water and stir.
(If you need to add more sugar after the warm water is added, go ahead. I just played around with measurements after the initial recipe and it is wonderful).
Its so good because even though I have sensitive skin, this isn't too harsh. And it just gets rid of all that excess oil on your face.
Coconut oil moisturises your face and softens your skin. It is great an an anti-ager, and repairs skin while giving it a healthy glow. It is a fabulous makeup remover and provides comfort to chapped lips.
Honey opens up your pores, making them easier to unclog. Honey also helps with acne prevention, helps with ageing, and gives your complexion a natural boost.
So that is just one recipe to help exfoliate your face and keep your lips soft and healthy.

The Big City
Hey Gorgeous People,
Today, I went to Sydney and sung in my major annual church function called Praise in the Park at Burwood Park and it was fantastic!! Everyone sounded so good and the day was a blast :)
So I thought I would tell you just how I dressed and did my makeup for the day!
1. Get your face ready with moisturiser, primer, foundation, powder etc. I used just my Shea Butter Body Lotion, BB Cream, Savvy Compressed Powder (just this one :P ), Maybelline Super Stay Concealer and Savvy Liquid Concealer.
2. I used Essence Sun Club (Dark Brown) eyeshadow and just did and all over on my eyelids and then in the corners I put light gold just to brighten it up. Then just below my eyebrows I put a very light shade of brown just to highlight my eyes.
3. Then I did a light coat of STAYS no matter what Mascara and did my second coat in Rimmel Extra Super Lash to build my lashes and give them extra length and volume.
4. I lined my entire waterline with my Maybelline Masterliners eyeliner an wacked on some Revlon Ruby Rose lipstick.
So after all that, I thought I looked pretty good just for a casual day in Sydney but also trying to look a bit more dolled up than usual. I love the brown eyeshadow as it really highlights my blue eyes and makes them bold. But I NEED to wear 2 coats of mascara with it otherwise my eyes look quite dull and the brown is too overpowering.
So there is my makeup and now onto my outfit.

I was wearing:
1. My Teal Peplum top from Forecast.
2. Simple long black skirt from Target.
3. Black High-heeled Wedges from Girl Xpress.
4. And my Tree of Life Necklace.
So there you have it! My outfit and makeup for a more relaxed day in the city!

Sensitive Skin
Hey Gorgeous People,
Okay so a couple of weeks ago I went to the shops and bought a new Compact Pressed Powder as seen above because I had finished my last one. Now this isn't the one I usually buy but I couldn't find my usual one. So I just said, "It'll do."
Big Mistake
I have quite sensitive skin and this powder did not help. I started breaking out at a rapid rate (I would put photos up but i didn't take any). Although my face wasn't covered, comparing it to my usual skin, it was bad. I had pimples dotted across my cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. Now I just assumed that it was a hormonal imbalance because I am a woman. But after a while and they were not going and more were appearing, even when I washed my face, I thought something was wrong.
SO!! I stopped wearing this powder and stopped wearing makeup besides mascara and lipstick and the pimples stopped appearing. So I thought I was fine ..... no it gets worse. I got a small lump beneath my nostril and just assumed it was a bad pimple. So I got home and got my sister to check it out. It turns out that I got a rather nasty cold sore. Now this may not be just because of the makeup as I did have a small case of the flu recently but I have only ever had a cold sore once. And the way that the cold sore appeared was strange and not normally the way cold sores I have seen form.
So this was just a brief warning to all you with sensitive skin to steer clear of this just in case. You have to be extremely careful when you do have sensitive skin because it limits the makeup brands we can wear and also the types of makeup we can use. We all have varying ranges of skin sensitivity and I will talk more about that in a later post.
It was so lovely to talk to you again as I haven't written in a while (sorry :( ). I've been super busy!!
Anywho!!
Hope you liked the post! Comment below and warn me of any brands that you have found bad for sensitive skin.
Love you all,
Stay Positive xoxo

Loose Curls: Tutorial
Hey Gorgeous People,
I promised you a hair tutorial so here it is!! Yesterday I went out to a meeting and then out to a friends party and I really wanted my hair to be perfect. So I experimented with .... curls. Okay some might not see this as a big deal but my hair hates curls. It just falls out in about five minutes. But I love it so I do it anyway!
Okily dokily, lets do this!!
1. Okay, I started off my straightening my hair because it just made the curls nicer and not so frizzy and fluffy. You don't have to straighten your hair but if you already have out of control frizz curls, then I suggest straightening it for a clean curl.
2. I separated my hair down the middle then tied up the top sections of my hair and tied the bottom half of the side I wasn't curling at the minute so it wouldn't interfere.
3. I got small chunks of hair and rolled them around the curler to as close as my scalp as possible.
4. After completing my whole head of hair I then loosely separated the chunky curls so they looked loose and not so crisp and clunky.
5. Because I didn't like the top of my hair being quite flat i got pieces of hair about as wide as my thumb and curled them in various scattered places just to give the top of my head more curl.
6. I sprayed a small amount of hairspray across my entire head and also on the underside of my hair so that the curls would keep their shape for as long as possible.
7. (Optional) I then got two portions from the front and pulled them loosely back and tied them together just so those shorter bits were out of my face. For the party I just put it up into a ponytail.
And this is the finished project. I did proceed to add some more curls to the top of my head after this but forgot to take a photo. Sorry guys!!

Refresh Your Face
Hey Gorgeous People,
Sometimes when you apply your makeup and you apply it wrong, you can look dull, drained and lifeless. So today I thought I would share some simple steps to make your face look fresh and clean.
1. Make sure that all your brushes and applicators and cleaned regularly and make sure your face is also clean. You do not want all that grime, powder and bleuch smearing across your face and turning you into an ashy grey mess. You want you powders to stay the same colour and not look like you pressed your face in dirt.
2. Applying concealer on any spots or under eye bags will make you look lively and perfect. Don't apply the concealer around the area though otherwise you will end up with a halo effect and it won't look as good. Apply a concealer that is the same skin tone or a shade lighter to only the effected areas.
3. Foundation is not always necessary unless you are an older woman or you have a skin disorder. Foundation will make you look fake and not clean and fresh like you want to look.
4. To reduce the shine on your skin, use powder. It will absorb the oils on your T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). If you put it on beneath your eyes it will take away the natural highlights and won't be as effective in refreshing your face.
5. For your eyes stick to light browns, ivories and light pinks or anything just a shade darker than your skin tone. Anything to bright won't get the fresh and clean look that you want.
6. Blush is not actually necessary but if you are quite pale or ill and you want to look healthy, go for it. Just don't apply too much otherwise you will begin to look like a doll ... and not a good one at that.
7. Finally, with your lips go with lip-glosses in clear, light pink, brown, nude or bronze. Lipsticks will make it look much more made up but if you prefer it that way stick to light pink, brown or bronze.
Okay guys so that was a short one but I don't have much time today to think of what to do. I have been quite busy recently trying to organise outings and various events but I will try to have a tutorial out for you later this week on some quick and simple hairstyles for a nice event.
If you have any inquiries on makeup, fashion, hair or any sort of relationship advice, I am here for you. You can privately message me on Google+ and don't forget to follow.

Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
Hey Gorgeous People,
Well, today I went out with some friends and thought it was the perfect time to buy some Pore Strips for my nose because I just get blackheads and oil buildup really quickly on my nose. So I went into Coles (the only place I could find) and wandered down to the Health & Beauty aisle.
My girl friend, boyfriend and my basically brother wandered up and down the aisle, me desperately trying to locate the mysterious nose pore strips! I finally found them and after weighing up whether a 6 pack for $5 or a 14 pack for $7.40 (7 nose strips and 7 other facial strips) I bought two of the 6 pack for $10 because I thought I could then easily divvy them up between my sisters so we could share and I didn't need the facial strips.
After dinner, I decided to try out these new Pore Strips. I currently have one on my nose and it is getting harder to wriggle my nose as it feels like concrete has set over it.
It took me a little bit to find out what way to put the strip on my nose but I got it and now I can't wait to see if it works.
My nose gets very oily very quickly and I just hope that these will help. I wash my face most days (I know I should do it more often but I am usually in a rush or I am too tired).
The strips I got are Bioré (Bee-your-ay I am guessing) Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips and they contain Witch Hazel and Tea Tree Oil. Now I hear that witch hazel has a lot of benefits for the skin including helping sunburn. The strips unclog and invigorate your skin and removes 2x more deep-down dirt and oil.
As you know I just bought it at my local Coles supermarket so I will tell you if it all goes well and if it actually unclogs and invigorates.
If you guys want to share any of your favourite brands so I can test them if these don't work,
Just comment below!
Also, if you want to hear more from me and also give me some inspiration about what to write about just comment below!
