Happy Birthday To Me!

Hey Gorgeous People,

!!IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! ... three days ago...

I love birthdays, especially my own, and I think it is because I love getting gifts. If anyone wanted to be my friend they would just have to spend some quality time with me and buy me a small gift. Yeah, that sounds really materialistic but I love opening the presents just as much as the actual present. The suspense, the struggle of trying to get the paper off when your family goes haywire with the stickytape ... That last one is definitely the biggest struggle of my entire birthday.

So I just wanted to show you some stuff that I got for my birthday so you can be prepared to see some of them in later videos and just to check out the stuff I got.

1. A Snail Fan
This is super cute, you just plug it into your computer with a USB and then you get a cute fan during the summer!!

2. Whiteboard/Markers/Magnets
This was a sort of need as I am going into exams and then HSC time. I just wanted to be able to organise my assessments and study time so I can get the best marks and just stay on top of all my work.

3. Hair Accessories
I love these cute little bows and am so glad that I don't have to use the same black lace one to pin back my side fringe anymore. My side fringe is just not long enough to tuck behind my ear and plus these bows will be super cute.

4. Nail Polish
I got these two nail polishes. One is 415 Instyle Coral from Rimmel and the other is Elegant by Revlon.

5. Notebooks
I am a notebook hoarder through and through. I think I now have about 12 notebooks and I am only using 3 or 4. But you can never have enough notebooks.

6. Love, Tanya - by Tanya Burr
I LOVE THIS BOOK AND HAVE WANTED IT FOR FOREVER!!

7. Doctor Who TARDIS Beanie
Well it is a staple clothing item of a Whovian!

Makeup!
Gonna give this its own section so I don't have to number them :)
I got:
  • Eyebrow Kit
  • Brow Pencil
  • Eyelash Curlers
  • e.l.f High Definition Powder
  • Black and White Eyeliner (e.l.f)
  • Matching Plum Lipstick and Lipliner (5th Avenue)
  • Eyeshadow Palette (Maybelline New York)
  • Liquid Face Primer
  • Shimmering Facial Whip (e.l.f)
  • Redness Correcter (5th Avenue)
  • Sunkissed Glow Bronzer (e.l.f)
  • Complete Coverage Concealer Palette (e.l.f)
  • Shimmer Palette (e.l.f)

I am so in love with all of my birthday presents! My next post will just be photos of what I got so this post isn't too long!

Painting the Town Red And Gold

Hey Gorgeous People,

I wanted to do another makeup look for you and I finally found my lost makeup bag (I left it in a friend's car :( ). So I thought, "Hmmm, makeup looks." Then my eyes glanced on my gorgeous red lipstick and I knew exactly what I'd do. So this post is going to paint the town red and gold as I do a red-lipped-gold-eyed-cat-eyed look!!

So I prepped my face as usual and put my base on so I could just get going. I don't show you that routine anymore because you know how it goes and I just use my FitMe Foundation in 115, Maybelline Super Stay Concealer, and my Avon Minerals Powder in Light Beige.

Eyes!!
For my eyes (using my e.l.f Professional Eyeshadow Brush) I used my Maybelline Chic Naturals Base before putting the Ten P.R.O eyeshadow in Copper around the outer corner of my eye and into the centre of the lid. I then got a lighter gold out of my Andy Warhol inspired eyeshadow palette and put it from the centre of my lid to the inner corner, blending the two colours together. I then got the Charcoal eyeshadow by Sally Fitzgibbons and blended it into the outer corner of my eye and the crease of my eye using my Elizabeth Arden Angled Eyeshadow Brush, EcoTools Blending Brush, and my e.l.f Profeesional Eyeshadow Brush.  Then came the cat-eye! I have major problems with doing my left eye so that's why I tried to hide it in the photos ... sorry. But I just persevered and went as neat as I could! Here is the end result of my eyes!

Yeah, the colour didn't come out as much as I wanted too in this photo but the end photo is glorious!

Lips!
This is my favourite part! I am a huge red lip fanatic but don't have enough occasions to wear my red lipstick. So I got my Elizabeth Arden Lip Liner in Cocoa Rose. I know it is a different colour to my lipstick but I love the end result. I did light feathery strokes to slowly over-line my lips slightly and then shaded in the rest of my lips. Then I got my Elizabeth Arden Lipstick in Brick (doesn't sound red but it is beautiful).

And this is the final product. I added a filter to make the colours pop so you could see them better. it looks more like the edited photo in real life!

Comment below to tell me what you think and give me ideas for more makeup looks for me to try!

Review: Rimmel Mascara (Kate)

Hey Gorgeous People,

Just want to do a quick review about this new product that I bought a couple of days ago. This is the Rimmel Mascara from the Kate range and I was super excited at the start.

The broken heart wand was gorgeous and it plumped my lashes and made them look so beautiful and long.

I also loved the glamorous and beautiful packaging/exterior of the mascara tube. It looked really feminine but not tacky.

Then I put it on. Yes, it plumped and made my lashes gorgeous but it took forever to dry! I stood there fanning my face for about 5 minutes and it still made marks when my lashes grazed my eyelid.

Although this factor was quite disappointing, I must say that this product is gorgeous! Just the rich colour and how it doesn't clump. I must say that I have found Rimmel mascaras to be the best for my beauty regime but just the fact that this mascara didn't dry quick enough for my liking put it down in my ranking. I think I jut expected more from this product but it is still in my favourites list!

I will hopefully do more of these reviews in the future and go through my makeup collection.

Right now I am suffering from a bad bout of sinus/fluey/cold grossness but will definitely try to show you some more posts!
