Eyeshadow Adventures: Part 3 (Barbie?!)

Hey Gorgeous People,

Today for my adventurous eyeshadow I thought I would do a more barbie inspired look... which means PINK!!

So I have done a pink eyeshadow look with my Models Prefer palette using blush as well on my eyes to really make it pop (sorry for the low quality pic)! I didn't actually mind this look and i think i would wear it again ... just less pink and more of a black smokey eye! (I love smokey eye looks).

So here again is a my montage of the look. The lipstick is another of those small samples that I mentioned in my last adventurous post!

So I do love this eyeshadow and general look especially with the swipe of black eyeliner pencil along my waterlines and lining my lashes!

I would love to here what you think about this look down in the comments!

Eyeshadow Adventures: Part 2

Hey Gorgeous People,

So this is Part 2 of Being Adventurous with my eyeshadow and I thought I would try my new Maybelline green palette.

So this is the changing from a caterpillar to a butterfly!!

I hope you liked this look! I really loved it especially with the red lipstick (I don't have its name as it was a mini sample with no name on it, sorry).
The base for this look was just Garnier BB Cream, e.l.f concealer and highlighter, e.l.f Bronzer in Sun Kissed, and Rimmel Silky Loose Mineral Powder.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this makeup look and your ideas for more blog posts down in the comments!

Eyeshadow Adventures: Part 1

Hey Gorgeous People,

Today I felt like I wanted to experiment with some colours because I usually never dare to go outside my comfort zone of browns, golds, creamy pinks and white with my eyeshadow but i am going to be adventurous!

So here will just be some pictures of different eye makeup designs for your enjoyment!

I am wearing a light and dark gold in the inner corner of my eye and then in the middle I blended a deep aubergine and lighter aubergine shades. Then a simple black smoky eye effect in the outer corner of my eye. The winged eyeliner was very dramatic and I did ruin my left eye because I am horrible at left eye eyeliner but it didn't look too bad. The camera may not pick up all the colours but i was pleased with the result. This is a look that i probably wouldn't wear because it is just a tad too dramatic and I have nowhere to wear it apart from around the house :)

(PS: My eyebrows were definitely not done in this photo ... oops)

Cleaning Your Brushes

Hey Gorgeous People,

Now I don't spend money on fancy brush cleaners when what I do works fine! I just want to show you how I clean my makeup brushes and just some simple tips to keep your brushes from falling apart too quickly.

Ingredients:
 - A bowl of warm water
 - Some soap or detergent (I have heard you can use 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and it works wonders but I will try that with one of my brushes and see)
 - Makeup Brushes
 - A dry towel

1. Get some warm/hot water. It shouldn't be too hot otherwise it will melt the glue in the brush, making it weak, and the hairs of the brush will start to fall out.

2. Put a small amount of soap in the palm of your hand, wet your brush, and, using small circular motions, rub the brush through the soap. Continue this until it looks a bit grimy then rinse it with the water and do it again. Repeat this step with all your brushes.

3. Lay your brushes pointing slightly down or flat on the dry towel and leave it to dry overnight or in the sun. I clean my brushes at night so it has all night to dry.

If you have any tips you want me to try let me know in the comments!
